Next on our list was a relaxing day at Le Morne Beach to soak up the sun and enjoy the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Le Morne Beach, tucked at the foot of the majestic Le Morne Brabant mountain, is one of the most breathtaking spots in Mauritius. The beach's calm, shallow lagoon is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. We spent hours just floating in the turquoise water, watching the colourful marine life beneath us. For the more adventurous traveller, the consistent winds make Le Morne Beach an ideal spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Adding to the beach’s charm is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Le Morne Brabant. This towering mountain is steeped in history and today offers hiking trails that reward climbers with panoramic views of the coastline.
We also stayed at C Mauritius, a lively, nature-inspired resort on the beautiful Palmar Beach on the east coast of Mauritius - ideal for those travellng with families. The resort is all about unwinding and enjoying yourself. The rooms are bright and airy, capturing a relaxed beach vibe, and each one has an open bathroom and a balcony with stunning sea views.
