SWIM

Heidi Klein swimwear is designed for longevity in mind.
With the correct care, your Heidi Klein pieces will keep their shape, colour and elasticity for many wears and holidays to come. Please follow the below steps for day-to-day care.

Day-to-Day Care Instructions:

We advise you to rinse your Heidi Klein pieces in cold water after each use to remove residues and maintain elasticity.
Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours using mild detergent to thoroughly remove residues.
Always air-dry flat, out of direct sunlight. Especially avoid tumble dryers and radiators to preserve shape, colour, and elasticity.
Be cautious of heat. Spas, saunas and hot tubs can compromise the material and colour. If you wear your Heidi Klein, please rinse with cold water thoroughly after use before washing.
Suncreams can damage and stain your swimwear, particularly lighter colours such as white. We advise to apply suncreams and allow to dry before wearing your Heidi Klein. When topping up, apply with care.
Please note that swimwear fabric, like all elastane-based materials, will be affected by constant exposure to chlorinated water, sea water and direct sunlight, especially bright colours such as neon. The vibrancy may fade over time, we advise to follow the above steps to keep your Heidi Klein pieces looking their best.

LINEN

Washing

Wash your linen in a washing machine, or by hand in cold or cool water – nothing over 30°C. Anything hotter than this can weaken fibres and cause shrinkage. Use a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softeners, tumble dryers and washing linen garments with heavy clothing, such as jeans or jackets. The wonderful thing about linen is that it actually gets softer the more it is washed.

Drying

To dry your linen garments, it’s best to lay them flat on a clean, dry towel and keep out of direct sunlight. They can also be hung to dry, just be careful not to use wire hangers or clips that could leave an impression or snag the fabric, particularly with fine linen. When it comes to bed sheets made from linen, the easiest and most energy-efficient way to dry them is to hang on a line outdoors. But remember, the sun bleaches fabrics, so try not to keep darker linens in sunshine too long. If you don’t have access to outdoor space, or if you want to give your bed linen a bit of a helping hand in the colder months, then tumble dry on low until the bedding is almost dry then leave to fully dry on a line or flat on an airer.

Ironing

Yes, linen is prone to creasing, but that just adds to its naturally relaxed, lived-in charm. Taking it out of the washing machine and hanging – or laying it – to dry straight away will help keep creasing to a minimum. If you’d like to smooth it out, spritz your linen with water before ironing on a low setting with plenty of steam. Dampening relaxes the fibres, making it easier to remove creases for a crisp finish.

VISCOSE

Wash it

Wash at 30℃, do not bleach, put it in the laundry bag and machine wash it.

Reshape it

To avoid shrivelling and shrinkage, always return your viscose to its original shape while it’s damp. Using a cool iron, gently smooth and stretch it to its pre-wash outline.

Dry it

Speed up the drying process by laying it flat in a well-ventilated place. Keep it away from the tumble-dryer, unless you want your garment to go down a size or two…

Iron it

Most creases vanish from viscose during reshaping, so it shouldn’t need long on the ironing board. A cool iron (no steam or spray) will deal with wrinkles that have made it through to the final stage.
